Gate Barrier System

Understanding Gate Barriers
Barrier Gate is a security tool that functions as a means of limiting access to entry/exit of vehicles into the parking area/yard of a building or company environment and can also be used to regulate vehicle traffic flow in a residential area.

Advantages of Barrier Gates
Security systems and vehicle inspection can run optimally to reduce crime rates
  • Creating orderly conditions for road users.
  • The number of guests or visitors every day can be recorded and has a good history
  • With sizes ranging from 3m - 6m automatically all functions and road widths can be covered as well as for building basements with short ceilings, several models can meet/respond to that need.
  • Can be linked to an RFID card system so that only the card owner can enter an area, location, or building.
  • For housing that is standard or elite class, it increases the prestige
  • Security functions and personnel can be assigned to other jobs and can even reduce security personnel so of course it can save costs.

  • Installation and Use
Automatic barrier gate has various types and bars. The types of barrier gates are distinguished by the speed at which the bars open and close. Meanwhile, the crossbar has several types of crossbar lengths, ranging from 3 meters, 4 meters, and 6 meters, which corresponds to the width of the road in general. As for the bar model, it is only distinguished by a straight open bar and an elbow open bar. Automatic barrier gates can be installed with various types of installations, ranging from simple to complex. The more complex the type of installation, the better the level of security. The following are examples of the types of installation based on access:

    Manual access installation
Manual access installation is only enough to use a package of machines and crossbars along with their complete accessories, without using other additional devices. In accessing the barrier gate control using a remote control or manual button. Most of these are installed in residential, school, or similar gate areas where access control is controlled by security or gatekeepers.

    Access Stand Alone
This type of access utilizes a card to open the bar. So that additional devices are needed in the installation of the barrier gate, such as:
  • Barrier gate and bar machines.
  • Box controller + wiring.
  • Card readers.
  • Access card.
  • Vehicle loop detectors (VLD).
  • Installing a barrier gate stand-alone is fairly simple because there aren't too many additional devices. Even though access control uses a card, the driver's data is not recorded at all. The access card is only a control key to open the bar, while automatic closing of the bar makes use of a loop detector that is embedded right under the bar.

    Access the Tap Card System
Similar to access using a stand-alone, the way the barrier gate tap card system works also uses a card to open the bars. The difference is, the tap card system data from passing drivers will be recorded. Starting from when to leave or enter, the vehicle and the driver will be recorded by CCTV, and the data will be read by the server. This type of barrier gate system installation is also more complex than a simple stand-alone one. Using the following devices:
  • Main device, barrier gate + crossbar.
  • Access controllers + card readers.
  • CCTV.
  • Controller access.
  • Vehicle loop detectors (VLD).
  • Computer.
  • Barrier gates with this installation are widely applied to offices, residential gates, industrial areas, warehousing, and others.
